Exhibition “3”

Exhibition “3” has now come and gone. The show was up for the month of December, and I believe was well received. In the common fashion of Industry’s walls, I packed the small space with 35 oil paintings and 9 Giclée prints. The eclectic display was a sort of “retrospective” of my first two years as a painter minus the baker’s dozen or so paintings that I have sold.

Opening night on December 1st was especially fun as it came with the bonus of my 43rd Birthday Party and the musical accompaniment of DHARA, which left me with a sore neck from all the head-banging I was doing. The lesson learned was that I’m not 23 anymore.

Fan Favorites of the show were my newest painting “Heaven’s Here,” as well as the oldies-but-goodies “Escaped Cosmos,” “C.I.P.S.A.”, “Night in Maine” and “Chelsea Hotel #3.” There was also the attention-grabbing painting “The Girl with the Yellow Pillow,” which seemed to beg a lot of questions.

Overall, I am happy with how the show went. I did manage to sell a few paintings, which was nice, and now my collection is back to gracing the walls of my apartment and Studio. As I look upon them now, these many paintings that became what they are over the last two years, I am excited for what the next two years will bring. While I love each painting, I am almost lustful for the future paintings.

A lot is coming, and I have a lot of planning to do before I head to France for my Artist Residency in just under 5 months. I will have a lot more to say about that in the coming days. For now, I would just like to Thank all those who came to my Exhibition “3,” especially Peter, Ron, Chris, and David for your patronage, which will please you to know is helping get me to France.

Ars Longa, Vita Brevis.
