Show #2- Memories of Earth

Well, my second show at INDUSTRY has come and gone. A sincere Thank You to all who came to see it. The show, titled “Memories of Earth,” opened on Friday, December 2nd and coincided with my Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy themed 42nd Birthday Party. The night was well attended, and we partied into the early hours of the morning drinking glowing green Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters.

I held a raffle to raise money for charity. The grand prize was an iPad, and by the time of the drawing I had raised $1000 to be donated to Helping Hand Rescue Mission of Huntington Station, which helps feed 250 families around our community. The good feelings from that certainly eased the following day’s hangover.

The paintings representing the last 7 months of painting were Gold Coast, Cold Spring Harbor II, Cold Spring Harbor III, Chelsea Hotel #3, Meadow, Mona, Fresh Pond, Centennial II, Satin, Somesville, Seawall Pond, Lloyd’s View, Flowers for Rothko, and Roasted Fig with Goat Cheese Prosciutto Rosemary and Honey on a Bed of Lemon Vinaigrette Tossed Greens.

I have already begun planning my 3rd show, which will be smaller paintings inspired by Huntington locations and the interior of Industry. Hope you’ll follow along to see how these new paintings develop.
